About the Founder

Mario Andino

Founder and perfumer, Maranatha Parfums · Texas

A Life Led by Scent

I came to perfume through a childhood infatuation with smelling things. As life went on, I became aware of the perfume world, and the more I smelled, the more I wanted to up the ante: from designer fragrances, to luxury houses, and on into niche perfumery.

Eventually I came to a point where I felt led to start creating my own fragrances, ones that bring delight and uplift into the world.

Always Learning

I am continually learning. I learn from whatever books I come across, from perfumers with a passion for sharing their knowledge, and from many rounds of trial and error at the bench. Every Maranatha formula is to be hand-blended from the resinous, ambered materials described in the Scent Atlas.

The Faith Behind the House

My faith is founded on the Gospel of Salvation. The man Christ Jesus, who is the one God and one mediator between God and mankind, paid the debt for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again. Salvation is a free gift from God received through faith. It cannot be earned through any works or by keeping the law.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”Romans 1:16–17 (ESV)

I joyfully serve at Cornerstone Church ATX in Lakeway, Texas, founded and led by Senior Pastor Dan Underhill, who is dedicated to empowering people to find and cultivate their God-given callings with passion and pursuit.

You, reader, are invited to join us on Sundays at 11:00 AM, 1010 Ranch Rd 620 S, Ste 102, Lakeway, TX.

Why Maranatha

I made Maranatha Parfums as a way to honor God with my passion.

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.1 Corinthians 10:31 (ESV)

The name and the vision of the house are told in Our Origin.
