Our Origin
Long before perfume was industry, it was liturgy. Oil poured over the head of a king. Spices carried to a tomb that would not hold its occupant. Myrrh, frankincense, and labdanum meant something before they were beautiful.
Maranatha Parfums is born from 2 Corinthians 2:15 — that in Christ, we are the aroma of Christ to God. In a Roman triumph, victory had a scent: incense burning down every street the procession passed. To wear Maranatha is to walk in that same procession — a reminder that we come from victory, we don't fight for victory. 2 Corinthians 2:15
Every formula bears a name from the languages of the earliest Church — Greek, Latin, Aramaic — and is built from the same resinous, ambered materials that filled ancient temples. Not perfume as decoration. Perfume as remembrance.
